Anyway, we left on Thursday afternoon after we both got off work & stayed the night in St. George at Grandpa Lowe's. It was so beautiful & fun to spend a little time with my new family that I hadn't had time to really get to know before. Then we headed up to Provo on Friday morning. We drove through the worst blizzard ever! Landon drove seriously for once & we made it in once piece.
Landon Driving Seriously
We met Landon's sister Brittney & husband Chad up in Provo at our hotel, then picked up brother Josh. We all had a lot of fun playing games & messing around. Saturday we visited Grandma/Grandpa Galloway. Their house is crazy. It's huge & their backyard is like an amuesment park! We jumped on the trampoline for a little bit. Twas fun!
The Boys at Dairy Queen..the after priesthood tradition
We went to the Sunday afternoon session & it was LOVELY. I love conference. Its so much easier to pay attention when you're actually there. I was very enlightened & when Pres. Monson told us that he loved us, I could really feel his sincerity & love. :-D. Oh, & I LOVE the anti-mormon protesters!

All of us outside the conference center
Now my story. Landon will prob get mad for writing this, but it's the most interesting part of the trip. So our plan home was to drive through the night until we got home so Landon could make it in time for work at 5:30am. We were prob gonna get in around 2. So we're driving through Jacob Lake & the gas light goes on. We figure we can make it 40 miles or so before we run out...& we both remembered a gas station coming up soon. So we drive 35 miles, we see the gas station & pull up. We were so glad we made it without running out! So Landon gets out to fill up the car...but to our luck its CLOSED & you can only pay inside! (There was no credit card swiper on the pump!). So here we are in the middle of nowhere on the Indian Reservation. There are literally like 2 houses, a lodge, & the gas station here. So we go to the lodge to ask how many miles to the next gas station. He guy says not for another 40 miles..whether we keep moving forward or backtrack...& the gas station we tried doesn't open till 6:30 am. So we're like crap, what do we do. Either we keep driving until we run out & be stranded on the side of the road, or we can sleep here until the gas station opens up. So we ended up getting a room at this "lodge" for the night for $37 dollars. It had a tv about the size of a shoebox, no lock on the front doorknob, & a bed as hard as concrete! It was really an adventure but in all reality I feel blessed that we had that option instead of running out of gas. It was a blessing in disguise, & pretty funny!
