Please Stand UP

Okay, now this only applies to one person..and it's to whoever it is that has posted TWO comments on my last post concerning nursery. I would like to know who you are please. If you have an "opinion" on my personal feelings, please take it up with me one-on-one instead of trying to put me down on my own personal website. That is very belittling and quite rude. If you are BOLD enough to comment on MY FEELINGS, I would assume you'd be mature enough to talk to me personally about it. Please don't belittle me on my own website. Again, that is very rude and judgemental. Thanks for trying to tell me that I am not as spiritual as I should be or that I'm not "magnifying my calling". Obviously you don't know me that well. I stated MANY times that I LOVE MY CALLING. Which, I really do. The children are wonderful. I never said that anything was wrong with them. EVERYONE needs that extra boost every once in a while. I dont appreciate being called "selfish" or being told that I need to "find the problem with me cause it's not the kids" when I never said the children were a problem. Whoever you are, you like to create drama for whatever reason. Take it up with me. Give me a call. But don't try to put others down and try to remain anonymous. That is ridiculous. I'm sorry to all my readers who have to see this. I just am very hurt by whoever commented negatively TWICE on my feelings. I deleted them because they were very rude. No one should have to be put down like that.

Worst blogger ever!

Man! I really need to get my hiney in gear & be a better blogger!! But honestly, when basically NO ONE comments, its really unmotivating to post anything. That's not a jab at all or anything. :) and i'm definately not butthurt.

Well this HALLOWEEN month wasn't all too crazy but we DID have fun. This included two Suns games already...both preseason, but still bomb.

I hope we can go to more games this season...they are just too awesome!

Well as far as Halloween goes... we carved pumpkins with my family on a Monday night (FHE)...here's how ours turned out...can you tell what it is?!?!

Yup..it's Angel Moroni with a CTR down the side! Haha. We were both kind of dissapointed in this picture because our angel turned out kind of "overweight" looking. But in the end, it turned out great! The reason we chose this idea was this...if you enter a pumpkin carving contest for your ward Trunk er Treat...how can they turn down a spiritually-themed pumpkin? You can't. And that's how I won 3rd place...AND a gift card to Cold Stone!

Halloween night we decided to go out since we live in an apartment and there are barely any trick-er-treaters. So we went to a special Halloween Comedy show in Mesa. It was improv (like the show Who's Line is it Anyway?). It was pretty stinkin' funny. Definately worth it. Afterward we got dessert. YUM.

3 more items...

Last weekend Landon went to Rocky Pointe Mexico with his friend from our ward to stock up on Z-packs and to just have fun. They made it a 2.5 day trip and enjoyed quad riding, the beach, shopping, going to the ghetto aquarium and EATING. He said that practically all they did was EAT!!! I don't blame him...real Mexican food is DELICIOUS. I was jealous but he made up for it by bringing me home a TON of homemade tortillas!

I've started running twice a week since the weather has been cooler. What is different for me this time is the fact that I can actually run 3 miles no problem! You don't understand how proud of myself I am! I've been running with a girl from our ward and we just RUN...and RUN...and RUN...I feel like a beast. It feels good to get back in shape...especially when i'm doing it in the most beautiful weather!

Lastly, we have made the decision that we are going to move closer to our jobs when our lease is up December 31st. We're not sure exactly the place yet..but we have an idea... Somewhere closer to downtown! North of the 202, between 24th and 52nd street..probably on McDowell, Thomas, Indian School...you get the idea. There really isn't a good reason for us to stay where we are..I mean.. I barely have any good friends in my ward, and ive been in nursery every Sunday. It wouldn't be so bad if I got the chance to go to Relief Society and Sunday School every once in a while. But when you only get only 1 hour of Church every week..it begins to wear on ya, and you need that spiritual nourishment. You really do. I try to keep it up with the every day things like reading, praying, etc...but there's nothin like a good Relief Society or Sunday School lesson. DONT GET ME WRONG...I LOVE NURSERY!! The kids are so fun and cute...it just could be done a little better..like a rotation to where we get to go to class every other week or something! Or MORE people called in there. I promise I'm not just pouting! I'm sure you understand! Trust me, I love those cuties!

Life Update!

Waddahh???!!! K i'm not even going to address the fact that I haven't written forever...I KNOW, okay? I'm slacking! =)
So for Labor Day weekend we went on our "Family Vacation" with my side of the fam up to Williams, AZ! It was a camping extravaganza..and it was a lot of fun! We loved spending our time in the outdoors for a few days. It really does bring you closer to the Lord, cause you are surrounded by his beautiful creations! Our activities included as follows- fishing, shooting, kayaking, eating, napping, playing with the family dogs, and sitting around being lazy. It was great. Here's a few pics

Me attempting to fish..no one caught anything except Tausha !

Landon chopping down a tree...and yes, he really did chop it down!! "Timberrrr"!!!

Landon taking a nap in the kayak! haha

Me, the dog babysitter..and I was freezing..I had just gotten back from kayaking & my sweats were SOAKED

Landon, Me & Nicky cracking up at Moose cause he couldn't figure out how to jump up into the bed of the truck..haha

Returning from my 5 minute mountain bike adventure

Our terrorist tent that my dad let us use..haha

Landon andI had a little bit of fun at Cabelas one night...

Imitating the mountain lion in the background

I tried to look like the deer...I think I did an OK job?

There have been quite a few exciting events in our life! About a month ago, I came home from work and...vvuuaa-la! Landon had bought me a car. My favorite "car" at that too! Don't assume I love cars, cause I don't..I like trucks. But if I were to pick 1 car, it would be this one! It's a blue Chevy Cobalt, '07...low mileage...great deal on it! Thanks for the HUGE surprise babe!

Just a couple more things...

So I definately quit my job as a caregiver for that elderly lady. I just couldn't take sitting around for hours every single day...My brain has more to give than that. So I worked for my aunt for a few weeks, and then got a job at a Montessori Elementary school as an instructional assistant with preschoolers ages 3-6! I've been here for 3 weeks now, and it's a lot of fun! I have about 26 little kids in my class, and all I do is help them in the classroom all day! My schedule is great, and I love the fact that I get the days off that they do! Like, fall break for instance! Woop woop.

We also bought another gun, and I actually like it. I was too afraid to shoot it the first couple times we went out shooting, but I shot it when we went camping and it was amazing. It's a pistol and it's really loud, but a ton of fun! Saturday Landon went to the gun show and bought me a tazer! It's pink, and will hurt you :) we tested it on his brother Josh. It worked. Don't mess.

Cruisin' Through July

Okay..so somehow all these pics are out of order... cause my computer is retarted , but here's some pics from our Cruise/San Diego trip with the Lowe side!
Boogy Boardin' at the beach Our monstrous ship! The Elation
Hangin with the Mexican Indian man

Sick seashell art
Mexico pride
Sorry for the unorganized post. I'm not sure how to fix it, really. Anyway.. the cruise was fun. It was nice to have a little vacay & relax & be around the family. A cruise once a year would be nice :) Next trip will be with my side of the family in a couple months!
Just a couple more things: Landon went to scout camp in Cali a few weeks ago. He got called to go last minute.. he had a ton of fun taking the boys to 2 temples, kayaking, sailing, playing football for hours on the beach.. and helping them complete 1 whole merit badge. Good job honey. lol. I'm glad you got to go on that vacation.. oops I mean "Scout Camp". :). While he was gone I went to my g-pas funeral (which was cool cause I got to learn a lot about his life that I didn't know about) and hang out at my parents house.
This Saturday we were able to go to my friend Nathan's wedding luncheon & reception. I'm very glad for him! She's so cute & best part is..I set them up! haha. The reception was beautiful, and it was nice to see friends, especially Brandt! :) You're awesome.
This month has been super busy, hopefully in the next couple months things will slow down. We're out car shoppin & i'm on the job hunt. If anyone has any hookups- let us know! Too-da-loo

It's Summer Time!

Well, Summer is in full motion here & we've been having fun when we can! You say, "Expound on that please"...so I will! No problemo. Hmmm okay well a few weeks ago Landon & I house sat for my parents! It was nice to relax & eat someone else's food! One of the days we were there we went & hiked Picacho Peak with Landon's family (we took my parents dog Bugs), then visited the OSTRICH FARM. Oh man. Everyone needs to go there at least once in their life! It's quite the experience to try & literally throw the food into their bowl before they snatch ur hand 1st. It was great. Here's some pics.Bugs on the hike..poor girl we had to carry her most of the way cause she's so small & got worn out Now, I finally went shooting with Landon & his dad one weekend. It's the 1st time I tried our gun & I LOVE IT. I'm pretty good shooting those clay pigeons too. Not as good as Landon though. He seriously is like pro. He destroys every single one. I think he maybe missed 1 out of 20. Good job! I'm gonna try to get that good too! haha.

So I had the opportunity to go to Girls' Camp last weekend. I got called last minute to go up as a "Cabin Mom" (oh man I really dont like that label cause I'm no mom...I tried to get my girls to call me...cabin leader..or cabin friend..or cabin nanny..something other than cabin mom!) anyway..it was TOTALLY AWESOME. I LOVED IT. We really had a ton of opportunities to feel the spirit & grow closer to the Savior. It was great. I hope to keep what I learned in my mind so I can stay motivated! You know how that is. Anyway at first it was hard for me to be up there since I didn't know ANYONE (none of my girls, none of the women in my ward...) so I got real homesick. But after a couple days I was really enjoying just getting close to the Lord & Savior. And I really enjoyed my girls! They are so awesome. Its amazing what you can learn from those young strong spirits.

And lastly. This weekend was the 4th of July! We didn't do anything too crazy. My Grandpa Kennedy is going to pass away any day now (he's been real sick) so we spent the day with family. I'm going to miss him a lot.. he's always been jolly & optimistic especially when he's been sick. But I definately know the bigger picture! It's all part of the plan. Anyway, our time was spent at Hospice, David & Jackie's, and then we watched some lame 10 minute fireworks! But we both had a lot of fun. It was a real good day.

Well we're real excited for our CRUISE in 2 weeks! We're really looking forward to it. Not sure what it will be like but we'll make it fun anyway!

Lowe Times

It's about time to give an update, so right now I'm blogging real quick before I head off to my hip-hop class. Yes, I do hip-hop, & am quite the gangster. Well, we got new couches! They are so sweet. In the pic below, they are the two brown ones with the beige cushions. That coffee table is also new with the couches. We kept the other love seat from our other set. But we are lovin' the new ones, thanks to Mom & Dad Lowe! They are PERFECT.

Well this past weekend I went to San Diego with Tausha, Mom, Jarom & his friend for my cousin Brittany's wedding. We also hit up the beach while we were there. It was fun, accept for I got homesick for Landon! I know that sounds all mushy, but I really did! I coudln't wait to get back home to him. It was only 2 1/2 days too! I'm such a baby. Anyway, here's me & my sis on the beach.

My cousin Brittany & I! Loved her dress!

That pretty much sums up any excitement. Landon has gone shooting for 1 month straight every Saturday with the shotgun. I'm glad it's actually getting used, rather than just being something to look at. I hope he gets a hunting license, cause he'd be an amazing hunter! He's super sneaky & quick...so I know he'd be pro if he did. Gotta convince him though! Anyway, we're house sitting at my mom's this weekend! It should be fun to be back in the neighborhood for a couple days. Maybe we'll have a party... ssshhh don't tell mom. HAHA.
One last thing..let's get a poll for this. I took off the Air Jordan sticker that was on the back window of the car for various reasons. We ordered a new sticker that says "LoweLife"... obviously talking about us (our last name Lowe) and our LIFE. We are a little hesitant about it due to the fact people may judge us & think we are "low lives" but my personal opinion is it's clever and TOTALLY US!

Too Much Fun

Landon & I are just having too much fun. I guess you really can't have "too much" fun, but we really are enjoying our life. Last weekend Landon & I babysat for my Aunt Suzi who has 4 kids under age 9 with one on the way. Our Christmas gift to her was a babysitting coupon that she could cash in whenever. So she decided to use it for her anniversary weekend. We played with these children for almost 6 hours. It was so fun! They just LOVE Landon & can't get enough of his tricks.
Here's me with all the kids

And Landon's Turn
Landon's 21st birthday is on Monday, so this weekend we had a little birthday fun. First of all, our new tradition is whenever it's our birthday (or our future kid's birthday), then the Saturday before is their "day". We will do whatever the person wants as long as it doesn't mean spending a ton of money. So, for Landon's birthday Saturday, we did what he wanted to do! And I actually heard from his mouth that he thinks he might like birthdays with me now. So our tradition is official.

Here is a pillow I sewed for him for his birthday. Thanks Tausha for letting me borrow ur sewing machine. I wanna sewing machine so badd!!! I would make everything!!

Then Landon decided to buy an Ipod touch from his friend for cheap! It's super nice..a little high tech but he's figuring it out!!Saturday morning we went to the NRA gun show downtown. It was really neat to see all the different guns and accessories. Don't expect to come out with a gun if you go though..it's more for show than for buying. It was definately neat to see though.

Then the biggie...after the gun show we went to Bass Pro Shops, then to Cabelas..where we bought this shotgun!! It's BEAUTIFUL!! It's a Benelli Nova, .20 gage..and I can't wait to go out shooting with it. It's definately a good addition to our new collection. PS. Landon sold that Uzi from my previous post. This is a good replacement.

So, that was Landon's birthday day..a gun hunt. But it was worth it, and very fun! Happy Birthday Landon!!

Before the finale of this blog, here is an update on Landon's correctional officer process.. basically he didn't pass the background check but can re-apply in February due to time limits. So, please keep praying for him cause we really hope to get him into that career. Until then, we will get him physical therapy for his knee so when the time comes to take the physical test, he'll pass no problem.

Not really any updates for me..accept I'm done with school for now & got my Associates. It feels good to have a little break from school before I figure out what i'm going to do next with my life.

Now, my brother is a celebrity.. his state track meet was this past Thursday & he got 2nd in state for pole vaulting. Just watch the video..he FLIES through the air!! I can't believe he trusts a STICK to get him 14 feet over a pole! AH!! Take a look & you will see what i'm saying! Good job Jarom!!
